UPDATE 4:45 p.m., Aug. 24, 2026: No injuries were reported in a crash that temporarily blocked a lane on northbound John Wayne Parkway this afternoon, said a spokesperson for Maricopa Police Department. 

The crash was caused when a vehicle turning into Iconic Tire from the southbound lanes was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound, the spokesperson said. 

ORIGINAL STORY 4:11 p.m., Aug. 24, 2026: One northbound lane is blocked on John Wayne Parkway after a fender-bender this afternoon.

The crash between a green sedan and a black GMC Acadia occurred around 3:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Road, in front of Iconic Tire Shop.
