Lanes were closed in both directions following a crash between a construction truck and an SUV around 1:45 p.m. Monday afternoon on Honeycutt and Porter roads.
The A1 construction truck with an attached trailer collided with a small white sedan outside of the Circle K gas station. It is unclear which direction the vehicles were traveling, but the entirety of the sedan’s engine was ripped off during impact.
Onlookers stood around as officers cleared the road of debris. Blockades were present from the intersection to Whisker Rd.
One lane was able to reopen around 2:50 p.m.
One person was injured.
