Lake View Park is set to become Maricopa’s Little League hub.
The park, which opened in February of 2024, is already sporting two regulation-size Little League baseball fields and it’s soon to have three more, according to documents obtained in a public records request.
Tucked inside the Lakes at Rancho El Dorado neighborhood, the park has already served as a community gathering place, a playground and a place to practice baseball.
A landscape plan shows the expansion includes one 300-foot and two 200-foot ballfields. The design would also include two batting cages, walking paths, a playground, a parking area, ramadas, basketball courts, a ballfield seating area and a maintenance yard.
City of Maricopa Parks and Recreation Director Rocky Brown told InMaricopa earlier this year they selected a designer to assist in “laying out rough ideas for how a couple more ball fields can fit there to help Little League.”
Little League is currently spread between three sites: Copper Sky, Pacana Park, and Lake View. The expansion would mean that Little League practice could be exclusively at Lake View.
A construction timeline has not been announced.

Great idea! And yes get professional help with design as city staff has no clue. And add to that the zoning board….both are terrible. They pack in as many businesses as they can causing traffic congestion and little tiny parking spots that do not accommodate suvs and pickup trucks. They both think everyone drives a hybfidy
No, it’s a terrible idea. They should put a Costco there.
hopefully the city gets it right the first time.
