High-risk sex offender moves to Alterra

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office reports a registered sex offender has moved to Maricopa.

Larry W. Burns, 74, has moved to a residence at 45359 W. Applegate Road in the Alterra community, PCSO reports. He is described as 5 foot five, 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

The sheriff’s office, by law, is required to inform residents when a convicted offender moves to a neighborhood. He formerly lived in Queen Creek, and was convicted of his offenses in Arizona, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

Beginning in 1975, Burns sexually molested three females under the age of 15, the sheriff’s officer reports. He is a Level 3 offender, considered the highest level to re-offend.

The high-risk sex offender was last convicted of sexual conduct with a minor in December 1986.
