More than 2,000 people have moved to Maricopa already this year, according to estimates from the Maricopa Association of Governments, an urban planning department in Phoenix.
Maricopa residents hail from all 50 states, a fact revealed in the latest edition of InMaricopa Magazine, which hit the stands yesterday. But we all know more people are moving here from Chicago than Bushong, Kan., or Presque Isle, Maine.
So, which American cities are sending the most domestic expats emigrating in favor of our not-so-little desert town?
A new report from the national real estate broker Redfin, which analyzed moving trends in the first quarter of 2024, found 3% of all American homebuyers outside metro Phoenix considered moving to Maricopa between Jan. 1 and March 31.
Here are the cities they’re moving from:
#1 – Seattle, Wash.
#2 – Los Angeles, Calif.
#3 – San Fransisco, Calif.
$4 – Dallas, Texas
#5 – Chicago, Ill.
#6 – Portland, Ore.
#7 – New York City, N.Y.
#8 – San Diego, Calif.
#9 – Denver, Colo.
#10 – Las Vegas, Nev.
What about people leaving Maricopa?
In the first quarter of 2024, one-fourth of Maricopa homebuyers shopped outside metro Phoenix, according to Redfin.
Most seek cooler weather and better traffic conditions upstate, but those leaving the state largely favor the Southeast.
#1 – Prescott Valley, Ariz.
#2 – Show Low, Ariz.
#3 – Flagstaff, Ariz.
#4 – Nashville, Tenn.
#5 – Hilo, Hawai’i
#6 – Tucson, Ariz.
#7 – Albuquerque, N.M.
#8 – Myrtle Beach, S.C.
#9 – Greenville, S.C.
#10 – Charlotte, N.C.
Great, all the leftist losers that destroyed their cities coming to Maricopa to continue the destruction.
There is another lifeform that emulates this behavior…. A VIRUS!!
