There’s another sign Panera Bread is on its way to Maricopa.
The bakery-cafe chain currently under construction at South Bridge Marketplace recently submitted updated site and sign plans to the city, according to public records obtained by InMaricopa.
The plans show the 2,400-square-foot restaurant will occupy the west end of a retail building near the northeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue. It will feature a drive-thru and outdoor seating, along with a brick facade and metal paneling above the entrance.
Panera Bread was among the first tenants announced at South Bridge Marketplace in November 2024. Other confirmed tenants include Aldi, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Tropical Café Smoothie, Club Pilates and European Wax Center.
Construction began in November; an opening date is not yet available.
