Maricopa Police Department is investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide on Windrose Drive in Desert Cedars.
Police were called to the residence around noon on the report of a possible suicide. They were also informed of a possible second victim.
“At this time we are not going to release any further information as to respect of surviving family members,” MPD spokesman Ricardo Alvarado said.
Police blocked access to neighborhood traffic before entering the home just before 1 p.m. Children not at home at the time of the incident were located and taken care of as MPD worked with friends and family.
