Former Las Vegas dancer Nannette Barbera has always enjoyed putting on a show, and starting tonight, she will be bringing one of the hottest shows in the country to the Maricopa area.
Friday will mark the debut of the iCandy Dancer Revue at Harrah’s Ak-Chin casino.
The iCandy Revue is a group of dancers, featuring six beautiful women and one hard-body male.
“Our guy is of the Chip’n Dale mold,” said Barbera. “While other shows have feminine guys, our man is a muscular, blond-haired, blue-eyed hunk.”
Barbera started the iCandy dance group nearly seven years ago at a Harrah’s in St. Louis, and the group has grown exponentially since. “We have performed in multiple casinos nationwide, have launched a clothing line and are preparing to open an iCandy club,” Barbera said.
The show at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort is expected to run through the summer and continue even further, if successful enough.
For the Harrah’s Ak-Chin performances a special stage will be constructed in the casino area where shows will be performed every Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. every half hour and from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. every hour.
Each show will feature a different theme and will focus on getting the crowd involved in the action.
“We have so many different routines you could sit through the entire show for two nights in a row and not see the same thing,” explained Barbera.
When the dancers are not performing their routines, a DJ will spin popular music for the patrons of the casino to enjoy.
In addition to the seven pieces of “eye candy” that will be sweetening the stage on a regular basis, special guest dancer “L” Frost will be performing with the group opening night.
Frost has performed with popular acts such as Justin Timberlake, Ginuwine, Usher and St. Louis natives Nelly and Nikko Smith.
“I think this is going to be a major success,” Barbera said.
