Paletas, Dorilocos and fresas con crema are headed to Maricopa.
La Michoacana Cristeros submitted paperwork last week to establish a Mexican snacks and ice cream shop, according to documents obtained by InMaricopa.
The project narrative did not specify a potential location or name the business owners.
According to the project narrative, La Michoacana Cristeros will sell a variety of snacks and desserts, including ice cream, popsicles, aguas frescas, crepes and popular street foods like Dorilocos and elote.
“We want to be [Maricopans’] first choice when they crave something to snack,” the document read.
According to the project narrative, the ice cream shop would initially hire seven employees and look to double that number within a year.
More than two dozen stores associated with the La Michoacana brand exist in Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
The nearest to Maricopa are La Michoacana Premium in Tempe and La Michoacana The Ice Cream Spot in Casa Grande.
