To the editor,
The Maricopa City Council will hold its regular meeting tomorrow at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza. One of the items on the agenda is a proposal to amend the general plan and change the land use designation for about 184 acres at the southeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Farrell Road. This change would reclassify the property to mixed use and pave the way for the Maricopa Towne Center.
Be involved! Whether you support the proposal or have concerns, I still encourage you to attend and speak during the call to the public. By doing so, you can ensure your voice is part of the conversation and help shape the outcome. You do not need a speaker card for this portion of the meeting.
The agenda includes several other matters, such as:
-
RES 25-21: Supporting a grant application for Maricopa Seniors, Inc.
-
IGA 25-09: Amendment to an agreement with the Arizona Department of Transportation for work on Murphy and Hartman Roads
-
ORD 25-05: A rezoning proposal for 263 acres near Ralston Road and State Route 238
-
RES 25-23: Supporting a grant application on behalf of the Hope Key Foundation
-
Multiple resolutions accepting public infrastructure improvements in El Rancho Santa Rosa and Moonlight subdivisions
-
A presentation of the 2024 Office of Economic Opportunity Annual Report
These are decisions that impact our neighborhoods, our traffic and our quality of life. Please consider joining us, sharing your views and taking an active role in shaping the future of Maricopa.
Let your voice be heard.
