The unlicensed contractor who was accused of stealing money from clients earlier this year after a video surfaced of him screaming racial slurs has seemingly landed himself in much worse trouble.
Addison Brian Waelbroeck, the 23-year-old owner of M and A Landscaping, was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly threatening to murder his father and hitting him over the head with a 45-pound car jack.
Maricopa police officers had responded to Waelbroeck’s Rancho El Dorado home on Wade Drive on a report of a domestic disturbance between the controversial landscaper and his dad.
Waelbroeck’s father told the officers that his son “became irate, got in his face, yelled at him and approached him aggressively” when he confronted him about the alcohol in his car, according to a police report.
Video footage of the incident showed Waelbroeck yelling at his father, “I will knock you the f*ck out,” before lifting the heavy car jack and swinging it toward his father’s head. The officers later noticed blood on the man’s head.
Waelbroeck’s father could be heard saying, “What the f*ck is wrong with you? You just hit me in the head, you idiot.” When the father asked a neighbor to call 911, Waelbroeck reportedly pursued him and threatened to murder him.
Officers found Waelbroeck near Cahill Drive and Braden Road where he admitted to arguing with his dad over the beer in his car and instigating the attack, according to the police document.
Waelbroeck denied striking his father with the car jack on purpose even though he was captured on audio tape saying, “I will knock you the f*ck out,” the authorities said.
Waelbroeck was booked into the Pinal County jail on charges of aggravated assault, assault, threatening and intimidating and disorderly conduct. He faces a presumptive sentence of nine years in prison if convicted.
