Alterra man with long traffic record nabbed in hit-and-run that injured teen

Victor Lamont Holloman Jr. [PCSO]

A 28-year-old Maricopa man with a lengthy traffic record has been identified as the driver accused of fleeing the scene of a crash that injured a teen on an e-bike Wednesday morning near Senita.

Maricopa Police Department on Saturday confirmed the arrest of Victor Lamont Holloman Jr., a resident of Alterra. Holloman is accused of hitting a 15-year-old rider shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Honeycutt Road and Maricopa Groves Parkway, then leaving before officers arrived.

The teen sustained injuries, including a possible broken bone, and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The collision temporarily closed westbound Honeycutt Road and southbound Maricopa Groves Parkway.

MPD spokesperson Monica Williams said officers tracked down the involved vehicle later Wednesday and arrested Holloman on hit-and-run charges.

State records show Holloman has repeatedly faced traffic violations over the past several years. His Arizona history includes guilty pleas for displaying a suspended plate, speeding, multiple counts of driving with no insurance, multiple counts of driving without registration, and texting and driving as recently as 2024. He has also faced prior charges of blowing a red light and making an unsafe turn while driving with no license, then providing a false name to law enforcement. Those charges were dismissed in 2023.

Police have not released additional details about the teen’s current condition.
