A man who made three false rape allegations last week had a shovel in his hand and a knife in his pocket when cops arrested him at a local park Tuesday.
Jeffrey Aaron Ellis, 42, called Maricopa Police Department Oct. 9, Oct. 11 and Oct. 14 to falsely report people being actively raped, causing multiple officers to waste time responding.
Then on Tuesday, MPD was dispatched to reports of a man yelling and screaming in Desert Passage, where Ellis lives on Helen Court.
Responding officers found Ellis, who was holding a shovel and waving his arms in the air, at a neighborhood park near Betty Court.
Ellis told officers his mother was being raped and became confrontational, telling the officers to “f*ck themselves” and got into a fighting stance while balling his fists.
Ultimately, Ellis complied and was arrested. During a search of his person, cops found a kitchen knife in Ellis’s pocket.
Ellis was arrested and booked into the Pinal County jail on criminal nuisance charges. He faces six months behind bars.
