Flash Flood Watch in effect

National Weather Service – The Flash Flood Watch continues for portions of south central Arizona and southwest Arizona, including west Pinal County until 1 a.m.

Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will have the potential for producing locally heavy rain due to the abundance of available moisture. Rainfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour in the stronger thunderstorms.

Rapidly rising water in washes may flood low-water crossings. Moving water may be strong enough to carry people and vehicles downstream. Never cross a flooded road.
A Flash Flood Watch means that flooding of washes, creeks and other drainage areas is possible within the watch area. If you are in the watch area, you should watch the weather and be prepared to take immediate action should heavy rain and flooding occur or a flash flood warning be issued.
