Here’s a mild update about Buffalo Wild Wings

Twenty-six wing sauces and 30 beers on tap are a step closer to reality.

The Atlanta-based sports bar Buffalo Wild Wings submitted new paperwork to the city’s development department for its restaurant on Stonegate Road at Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, according to a public records request this week.

The details remain fairly slim since the news of B-Dubs’ Maricopa expansion broke early this year, but a preliminary floor plan shows a general layout for the dining area, bar and kitchen. The restaurant’s enclosed dining area will seat up to 280 patrons, with more seating available on the patio.

The paperwork showed the restaurant plans to operate daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. with approximately 30 employees.

Then-City Manager Rick Horst unveiled plans for the city’s fourth chicken wing restaurant during a futures planning meeting and tour in February. The restaurant submitted initial pre-application paperwork a month later.

Before construction can begin, the Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission still needs to review and approve plans. The city has not released a timeline for when this may take place.
