To the editor,
I am writing in support of constable candidate Tim Nuanes and ask that you join me in voting for him on July 21, 2026. Tim has lived in Maricopa since 2020 and our paths cross regularly at community events such as the Greater Economic Business Alliance Gala, The Veteran Memorial Ceremony and local fundraisers. He attended the National Day of Prayer in 2025 and 2026.
Tim has volunteered at Keep Maricopa Beautiful events and has been a supporter of moving the Maricopa First Friday event forward. I have come to see Tim’s passion, not just to serve as Maricopa’s constable, but his desire to serve the community in ways to make it a better place to live. Tim’s demeanor and approach exemplify his years of experience working with people with diverse backgrounds and creating a calm, comfortable environment in any environment he finds himself in.
Tim understands the role of a constable and the vital role his position has in Maricopa. When it comes to experience, commitment and knowledge, Tim Nuanes is a proven community member with the experience to serve as constable. For all these reasons, I am proud to support Tim. His experience, demeanor and commitment to Maricopa make him the right choice for constable. I hope you will vote for Tim to improve the level of customer service by our constable here in Maricopa.
Councilmember Amber Liermann

Another California transplant seeking local office. I’ve listened to Tim speak on several occasions, and I remain unconvinced about his reasons for running. What also stands out to me is that his presence in the community appears to be a fairly recent development. It raises the question of whether this involvement is driven by a genuine commitment to serving the community or simply by the desire to gain support and votes during a campaign.
Public office is a position of trust. Voters should look beyond campaign promises and ask whether a candidate has a consistent record of community involvement, leadership, and service long before deciding to seek elected office.
Girl.
I know this is totally off topic but from one woman to another:
Super dark black eyeliner on women over 50 washes out our faces something fierce. I was sad when I had to switch to browns and earthy tones from my deep burgundies and blacks, but we can’t look goth forever.
