Maricopa-based airport courier Ride347 is offering all Maricopa voters a free ride to the polls on Primary Election Day, July 30.
Ride347 co-owner Lori Riley said the city’s only airport shuttle service isn’t halting trips to Phoenix Sky Harbor — it’s devoting an extra van in its fleet for voters in need of a ride to vote for Maricopa’s next city leaders.
“I heard there were some seniors in town having a hard time getting to the polls or dropping off their ballots, so I wanted to offer the service,” she said. “It’s very important to vote and I want to make sure everyone’s vote counts.”
Riley said rides aren’t limited to seniors; they are offering the service to anyone who needs a ride for in-person voting or to drop off their ballot. She just asks people to call or text her company now through election day for pick up from homes or public places in the city.
“There’s no set time or schedule. I’m going wherever they need,” Riley said.
The phone number is 602-828-0826.
