Maricopa Little League’s 9/10 Softball All Stars handily won District 4 competition and will play for the state championship Monday afternoon in Show Low. The 12-member team won its three district games by the 10-run rule and showed dominance at bat.
Coach Aaron Etzel has been coaching since the league started coach-pitch softball three years ago. Now those girls, who were around 8 at the time, have moved into Minors and Majors. The 9/10 All Stars are from the Minors Division.
