Road project to begin early Thursday morning

Roadwork will begin early Thursday morning at a busy Maricopa intersection.

A milling and paving project at Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Porter Road will run from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, and Friday, Aug. 6.

Traffic control devices will be in place throughout construction and speeds will be reduced for safety reasons.

Sunland Asphalt will perform the work.
