There is such thing as free lunch — and breakfast for MUSD kids

Maricopa Unified School District is serving free lunches and breakfasts, which began Tuesday at five schools.

The meals will be served to all children up to age 18.

Breakfasts begin at 8 a.m. and run to 9 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, May 28 to May 31, and June 3 to June 20, Monday to Thursday. Lunches will be served from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m.

Meals must be consumed onsite, and children must be present to be fed.

Locations where breakfasts and lunches are to be served:

  • Maricopa Wells Middle School, 45825 W. Honeycutt Ave., at the north cafeteria entrance.
  • Butterfield Elementary School, 43800 W. Honeycutt Road.
  • Maricopa High School, 45012 W. Honeycutt Ave.
  • Pima Butte Elementary School, 42202 W. Rancho El Dorado Pkwy.
  • Santa Cruz Elementary School, 19845 N. Costa Del Sol Blvd.
