Some convenience store regulars may thank heaven for Maricopa’s first 7-Eleven.
It would also be the first commercial operation built on White and Parker Road.
Scottsdale-based De Rito Partners Development Inc. proposes placing the 4,600-square-foot convenience store and gas station on 1.61acres at the southwest corner of White and Parker and Honeycutt Roads, according to a pre-application request to the City of Maricopa. The site would include store parking and six gas-pump islands.
A pre-application basically shows the company’s interest in building the convenience store on the site but does not guarantee it will be built.

Another 7-Eleven was proposed way back in July on John Wayne Parkway. It has not been built.
There, the Texas-based convenience store giant known for its Big Gulps and Big Bites submitted pre-application paperwork to the city’s planning department last week for a 4,600-square-foot store, gas pumps and an “auto service pad” on the southwest corner of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue.
In March, Super Star Car Wash expressed interest in building a location on a parcel just south of the proposed John Wayne Parkway 7-Eleven, but the business has not moved forward with construction or paperwork.
The closest 7-Eleven store to Maricopa today is 20 miles north at Kyrene and Warner Roads in Tempe.
