If you live in Maricopa and haven’t gotten your Real ID yet, get ready to drive real far.
A sign taped on the door of the Arizona State Express Title & Registration office at the Maricopa Fiesta this morning read “This Location is Closed Indefinitely.”
The closing of the only MVD-authorized, third-party office in Maricopa comes amid an avalanche of one-star reviews in recent days on Yelp, where the business averaged one star, and Google, where it averaged two.
The MVD provider replaced Baskin-Robbins when it closed in 2013. (Ironically, that business is reopening this month at a new location.)
The nearest MVD offices are about a half-hour drive away in Casa Grande, Chandler or Tempe.
