Father’s Day is coming, and somewhere in Maricopa a dad is about to remind everyone that he once changed a tire in 117-degree heat while simultaneously coaching Little League and grilling burgers.

Now’s his chance for glory.

Nominations for InMaricopa‘s Best Dad 2026 contest close tonight at 11:59 p.m. Voting opens Monday at 11:45 a.m., with readers allowed one vote per day.

The annual contest, sponsored by Karsten’s Maricopa Ace Hardware, will crown one local father as this year’s Best Dad while awarding prizes ranging from a DeWalt tool kit and charcoal grill to a Dunn-Edwards paint bundle worth $500.

The winner will be announced June 19 and celebrated during a prize presentation the following day at Karsten’s Maricopa Ace Hardware.

In other words: If your dad deserves bragging rights, this is your last chance.
