The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce has returned to its roots, in a manner of speaking.
While its office still bears real estate signage, the business association officially returned to the Maricopa Manor Business Center from a rented space at the Estrella Gin Business Park last week, according to a press release today.
“I’m really excited,” Executive Director Kelly Anderson told InMaricopa. “It feels nice to get a fresh start for the Chamber at the beginning of the year.”
Part of that move includes offering a highly sought-after service: office space. The chamber will list several spaces for rent for small business owners looking to move out of the current home office.
“It’s for folks who are looking to get out of their garage, get off their kitchen table and who are ready to take the next step for expansion, but maybe not fully into a space of their own,” Anderson said.
The move comes just a little over two months after its Estrella Gin lease expired and more than a year after the City of Maricopa suddenly terminated a sub-lease contract with the chamber.
Anderson hinted the move is just the first of several “exciting” changes for the chamber this year.
