To the editor,
I hear all the time, “I didn’t even know we had constables here.” It’s surprising that so many people don’t know they exist in Arizona, but the role of constable in Justice Precinct 4 is crucial in fostering community trust, ensuring public safety, and effectively managing judicial processes. All of which make it essential for residents to elect a candidate who is experienced, dedicated and committed to serving the community.
The constable plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the justice court and serving the community. With responsibilities such as enforcing court orders, managing evictions and executing protective orders, the constable directly influences the safety and well-being of residents. An effective constable can bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community, fostering a sense of security and trust that is essential for a thriving neighborhood.
With 17 years of law enforcement experience, I bring a comprehensive understanding of public safety and judicial processes. My time at the Western Pinal Justice Court has equipped me with the skills necessary to handle sensitive situations with care and respect. I believe that my background enables me to respond promptly and effectively to community needs while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
To enhance the effectiveness of the constable’s office, there should be a stronger emphasis on community engagement and transparency. By actively involving residents in discussions about their safety and concerns, the constable can build stronger relationships and trust. Additionally, improving communication about the services provided can ensure that all community members are aware of their rights and the resources available to them.
I believe in being visible and accessible, not just behind a badge or in the office, but out in the community, building relationships and earning trust. Once elected, I will continue attending community events and making sure people understand the role of the constable’s office. I would also like to host occasional “Coffee with the Constable” events to meet residents, answer questions and hear concerns. Suggestions are always welcome.
As a dedicated member of the Maricopa community, I am committed to serving as constable of Justice Precinct 4. My experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of trust and cooperation between law enforcement and residents. Together, we can create a safer, more connected community. I would be honored to earn your support and serve you with dignity and care. Let’s work together to make Justice Precinct 4 a model of safety and trust.
Tim Nuanes
Candidate for Constable at Western Pinal Justice Court
