With more growth comes more plans for apartment homes in Maricopa.

Phoenix developer Sanks & Associates submitted pre-application paperwork to construct a gated apartment community at McDavid and Green Roads.

The complex would sit just north of the old city recycling center, which shuttered in August.

A project narrative stated the L-shaped community will comprise 288 rental units across a dozen one- and two-story buildings. This was confirmed by a video from city development published yesterday.

Amenities include private fenced-in backyards, a playground and ball courts, according to the narrative and site plan.
