InMaricopa will host its 2026 general election debate Oct. 8 at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, 18160 N. Maya Angelou Drive. 

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a reception before the debates begin at 6 p.m. 

The debate features two separate conversations with candidates, moderated by InMaricopa‘s associate editor Monica D. Spencer. 

The debate will kick off with a discussion between candidates for Maricopa Unified School District’s Governing Board. Candidates include Loraine Conley, Patti Coutre, Lisa Garcia, Latrinda Williams and Nicolas Yendrzeski. 

There will be a 15-minute intermission between debates, followed by Maricopa City Council candidates Tena Dugan, Vincent Manfredi, Chrystal O’Jon and Henry Wade at 6:45 p.m. will defend their positions and deliberate over issues shaping the city’s future.
