No need to have the Monday blues next week.  

The much-anticipated The Taco Spot will host a soft opening starting 9 a.m. Sept. 28 at 44600 W. Smith-Enke Road, Suite 101.  

While the date for the grand opening is not yet official, Monday’s soft opening will give staff a chance to train and set the restaurant in motion. Customers can sate taco cravings 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. 

Owner Emmanuel Flores said he expects to host the grand opening celebration in about a month with free giveaways, prizes and, of course, tacos. 

The menu includes a wide variety of delicious tacos, but birria — a traditional Mexican stew marinated with dried chiles, garlic, onions and roasted tomatoes — is the star of the menu.   

“We’re just excited to be able to serve all the people in Maricopa,” Flores said. “[We’re] looking forward to taking away your problems one taco at a time.”
