[InMaricopa file]

If you were hoping State Route 347 might give Maricopa commuters a break this week, well, about that.

Lane restrictions continue through next week as crews work on paving and materials testing, including another round of 24/7 restrictions this weekend. Here’s what drivers need to know:

Tonight

  • Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday for paving.
  • Southbound: One lane from Riggs Road to Casa Blanca Road from 8 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday for paving.

Friday, Sept. 25, through Monday, Sept. 28

  • Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Riggs Road around the clock beginning at 8 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday for paving.
  • Southbound: One lane from Riggs Road to Casa Blanca Road around the clock beginning at 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for paving.

So yes, if SR 347 is part of your weekend plans, you may want to build in some extra time.

Monday, Sept. 28, through Wednesday, Sept. 30

  • Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Riggs Road nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for materials testing.
  • Southbound: One lane from Riggs Road to Casa Blanca Road nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for materials testing.
