Maricopa’s two Fast & Friendly car wash locations are officially under new ownership.
Dash Car Wash, operated by Goodyear-based Ultra Clean Intermediate, has acquired both sites and is rebranding them under its growing Southwestern car wash brand.
A June 23 letter from contractor Global Sign Works confirmed the change at the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway location, and a site plan dated June 19 identified Dash as the new operator of the original John Wayne Parkway location, which opened in 2014. The MCG site was announced four years later.
Ultra Clean Intermediate is a subsidiary of Delaware-based Ultra Clean RE Holdings, according to Arizona Corporation Commission filings. The Goodyear company acquired the MCG location Dec. 31, according to a deed filed in Pinal County.
Dash, which expanded into Arizona after success in Nevada and Texas, has added the two Maricopa car washes to its map of locations. The company now operates eight locations in the West Valley and four in the East Valley, per the ACC filings.
Maricopa’s car wash market has been evolving recently. In April, the city zoning board rejected a rezoning request that would have allowed the Las Vegas brand Terrible’s to build a car wash at Bowlin and Porter Roads — a rare denial in a city defined by growth and focused on stirring commerce.
Another potential competitor, Super Star Car Wash, released renderings last month for a proposed facility near the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue, part of the fast-growing South Bridge commercial area.
Maricopa residents can expect to see the Fast & Friendly signs swapped out for Dash-branded ones in the coming weeks. According to the signage narrative submitted by Global Sign Works, the new look will reflect Dash’s regional branding with a purple and teal color scheme.
