After a lively debate on the positive and negative impacts of social media on American youth, the winner of Legacy Traditional School’s The Great Communicator Lincoln Speech Contest was declared Wednesday. Eighth grader Filimon Kednemarey took first place, with eighth grader Emily Enriquez in second and sixth grader Soleil Woodard in third. Filimon and Emily now advance to the regional competition, which will also be at Legacy’s Maricopa campus March 10.
