Maricopa’s original donut shop is stepping up its game.  

Good Donuts, 20924 N. John Wayne Parkway, is preparing to reopen with fresh leadership after closing for renovations yesterday, according to the shop.  

“We are excited to announce that starting Dec. 22, 2025, Good Donuts Shop will be under new management,” read a Facebook post shared 22 times since Sunday.  

The store will remain closed until Monday when the interior renovations are complete. This afternoon, a small crew removed the TV menus and were sprucing up the cashier area.

InMaricopa attempted to contact the new managers. On Nextdoor, Rancho El Dorado resident Sundab Rome, 29, said: “We look forward to serving you better and exceeding your expectations.” 

Phoenix resident Chamrong Sok said he knows the owner “very well” and gave her props in a social media comment.

“You will get the best donuts and varieties of stuff served. She has [a] secret recipe with her love and heart,” he wrote.  

Good Donuts opened as the city’s first standalone donut shop in spring 2015. It started seeing competition when Dunkin’ opened in 2018 but still won InMaricopa.com’s Cruller by Number poll handsomely in 2023 ahead of BoSa Donuts opening last year.
