Letter: Why I’m supporting Patricia Glover’s re-election

[File photo]

To the editor,

As a resident of Maricopa, I am proud to support the re-election of Patricia Glover for Justice of the Peace.

Patricia has dedicated her career to serving the people of our community and ensuring that the justice system is accessible to everyone. Long before she was elected to the bench, she demonstrated her commitment to helping others by opening the very first legal document preparer business in Maricopa. Through that work, she assisted countless residents in navigating legal processes that can often feel overwhelming and intimidating.

Patricia’s unwavering passion for bringing the court system and the community together has been evident throughout her tenure as Justice of the Peace. She believes that the courts should not be distant institutions, but places where people are treated with dignity, respect, and understanding. She has worked diligently to make the court more approachable and responsive to the needs of the citizens it serves.

Maricopa is not simply the community Patricia serves — it is the community she chose to call home. She is a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a standout member of our community who genuinely cares about her neighbors and the future of our city.

Her qualifications speak for themselves. Patricia earned an associate degree in paralegal studies, became a certified paralegal, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in legal studies. Demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth, she is currently attending law school online on scholarship while continuing to fulfill her responsibilities as our Justice of the Peace.

Experience, integrity, compassion, and dedication matter in our local judiciary. Patricia Glover has consistently demonstrated all of these qualities. I encourage my fellow voters to join me in supporting her re-election as Justice of the Peace so she can continue the important work of serving the people of Maricopa with fairness, accessibility, and professionalism.

Sincerely,

Julie Elliott
