Hospital names Iven Wilson new chief nursing officer

Exceptional Community Hospital of Maricopa today announced Iven Wilson has joined its team as the chief nursing officer.

A decorated healthcare executive and U.S. Army veteran, Wilson brings nearly two decades of clinical, operational and executive leadership experience to the role.

Wilson joins Exceptional Community Hospital of Maricopa following a distinguished career leading healthcare operations across hospital systems, outpatient centers and specialized care environments.

Most recently, he served as CEO for multiple Banner-affiliated surgery centers with Atlas Healthcare Partners, where he spearheaded transformational improvements in quality, efficiency and patient satisfaction.

“Iven’s leadership, clinical expertise and commitment to patient-centered care align perfectly with our mission and values,” said Bob Cardenas, Arizona market CEO for Exceptional Healthcare. “His ability to lead high-performing teams with both compassion and precision will have a tremendous impact on our nursing teams, our patients, and the Maricopa community as a whole.”

Wilson has held senior roles across organizations such as Steward Health Care and Healogics, with proven success in strategic planning, compliance, resource optimization and cost containment.

A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, he applies data-driven methodologies to improve performance and foster continuous improvement. His unique combination of military discipline, nursing knowledge, and executive acumen makes him exceptionally well-suited for this vital leadership role.

He is also a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a Combat Medic and Licensed Practical Nurse.
