Miranda Webster has gone from treating patients in the emergency department to overseeing nursing operations at Exceptional Community Hospital.
Webster, a registered nurse who joined the hospital in 2022, was last week named chief nursing officer after serving as emergency department manager since 2024.
In her new role, Webster oversees nursing and clinical operations, including efforts related to patient safety, quality of care and workforce development.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, her career began in emergency and acute-care nursing, with experience working at the bedside before moving into hospital leadership.
“Miranda understands patient care from the bedside to hospital leadership,” said Dr. Brad Green, medical director of Exceptional Community Hospital-Maricopa. “Her dedication to our patients, her support for our nurses, and her connection to Maricopa make her an outstanding fit for this role. I look forward to working alongside her as we continue strengthening the care we provide to our growing community.”
Webster said her focus in the new position includes supporting frontline nurses and developing future nursing leaders while making sure patients and their families feel heard and respected.
