South Bridge Marketplace is spicing it up by adding Angry Chickz, a popular chicken restaurant chain, to its retail and dining menu.
The restaurant is currently under construction at South Bridge Marketplace on John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue, the new shopping center that promises retail and dining options alongside a residential corridor.
Much like the Dolly Parton song, the 2,700-square-foot restaurant will open two doors down from another popular chain, Panera Bread. The chain has three other locations in Arizona and is known for its spice options on chicken sliders and tenders, ranking them from “country” to “x-hot,” all the way up to “angry” with “x-hot.”
Other confirmed tenants at South Bridge Marketplace include Aldi, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Tropical Café Smoothie, Club Pilates and European Wax Center.
Construction began in April 2024 with a Lowe’s retail and garden center. Continued construction spans 60,000 square feet that will include a grocery store, plus 10,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space.
This is Thompson Thrift’s second development in Maricopa.
Sonoran Creek Marketplace on John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road was the company’s first project, bringing Sprouts Farmers Market, Marshalls department store amongst other small restaurants.
