Maricopa Police search for missing 39-year-old woman

At-risk woman last seen leaving home Tuesday

Maricopa Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 39-year-old woman who left her home on foot earlier this week.

Shawnakea Smith was reported missing after she left her Maricopa residence on Tuesday. According to police, she was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a white T-shirt and may be wearing a wig.

Officers said Smith has a medical condition that requires attention and prescribed medication.

Investigators believe she may attempt to travel toward the Phoenix area, specifically near West McDowell Road and North 31st Avenue.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts or who sees someone matching her description is urged to contact MPD’s non-emergency line at 520-568-3673.
