The Taco Spot is finally ready to make it official.
The grand opening takes place tomorrow, beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. followed by live music, face painting and entertainment.
Festivities include afternoon performances by La Banda Alterada and La Solucion.
The opening comes about a month after the restaurant — 44600 W. Smith-Enke Road, Suite 101 — hosted its the soft opening date that gave staff a chance to train and learn the rhythm of the restaurant.
Owners Emmanuel Flores and Cristina Ruiz previously told InMaricopa they wanted a fresh start for the former Barro’s Pizza location and gave the space a full interior renovation, including new appliances, layout and fixtures. The interior décor is a nod to the city’s history, complete with murals of horses.
Alongside Antojitos Lindamar, which offers desserts, ice cream, and fruit, Taco Spot serves tacos and birria.
“We’re just excited to be able to serve all the people in Maricopa,” Flores said. “[We’re] looking forward to taking away your problems one taco at a time.”
