Meet Tiffany Welch — a Maricopa local with a love for community, cooking, and kindness. Originally from Stanwood, Tiffany has called Maricopa home since 2013 and has become a familiar face through her role as Director of Operations at InMaricopa.
Family means everything to Tiffany. She’s the proud mom of four adult children — Chandler, Dominick, Theodore, and Victoria, lovingly known as “Sissy.” Her household is also filled with personality thanks to her two dogs, Winnifred, a French Bulldog, and Ralph, a Frenchie mix. When she’s not busy helping keep operations running smoothly, you’ll probably find her behind the wheel of her 6-speed Honda Civic Sport or spending time doing what she loves most: baking, cooking, and enjoying anything involving the water.
Tiffany’s passion for people shines through in the way she views the world. One thing she can’t stand is seeing people treat service workers poorly, and her personal motto reflects her outlook on life: “Have Courage and Be Kind.” She also lives by a quote that perfectly captures her personality: “I’d rather be someone’s shot of whiskey than everyone’s cup of tea.”
One of the things Tiffany appreciates most about Maricopa is the city’s library system. Having once worked there herself, she says the library staff are some of the best people around. On the flip side, like many residents, she admits the commute on State Route 347 can be a challenge.
When it comes to downtime, Tiffany dreams of traveling to Ireland or Greece someday. Until then, one of her favorite getaways is visiting her cousin’s place in California. She’s also a big fan of Asian cuisine — especially drunken noodles with chicken — and enjoys grabbing a meal at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Chandler. Pair that with a Coke Zero, and she’s happy.
Entertainment-wise, Tiffany enjoys books by Riley Sager, loves the movie Hitch, and says Kevin James always makes her laugh. Her music tastes depend on her mood, though she especially connects with the song It Was In Me by Avril Lavigne. Sports fans might spot her cheering on the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers — especially quarterback Brock Purdy.
Tiffany also believes strongly in giving back and supports Skip1.org because of its mission to show how even the smallest acts of generosity can make a big impact.
And if you ever need a good laugh, Tiffany has one ready: “Why was the Pepsi guy fired? He was caught with Coke.”
