MPD arrests Coolidge man in connection with weekend road rage shooting

Maricopa Police Department has taken 27-year-old Jacob Beigel of Coolidge into custody in connection with the shooting that occurred Jan. 3 near Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Russell Road, the department announced this evening. Beigel was booked into the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:21 p.m., when Maricopa police officers responded to a report of shots fired following an apparent road rage incident. Two occupants of a vehicle sustained injuries and are expected to survive.

The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
