Global Water-Santa Cruz Water Company, Inc. is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory to water utility customers in the City of Maricopa. Do not drink tap water without boiling it first.

This advisory is being issued because two preliminary tests indicate the tap water could be contaminated with E. coli. Until repeat testing is performed the presence of E. coli in the water system is not confirmed. However, we are issuing this notice out of an abundance of caution.

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality regulations require us to take repeat samples at and near the location where the two positive samples were originally taken. It will take approximately 24 hours to receive the results from the repeat sampling.
