Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Stanfield Saturday night.
Deputies responded to reports of the shooting near State Route 84 and Stanfield Road at about 9 p.m., said PCSO spokesperson Sam Salzwedel.
“Deputies did not locate a victim, but they did find cartridge casings that may be related to a shooting,” Salzwedel said.
The casings were found at the busiest intersection in the unincorporated town just south of Maricopa, population 338. That’s the corner where you’ll find the post office, the laundromat and El Rancho Barajas, the restaurant and market.
“Deputies are following investigative leads to locate the possible victim,” Salzwedel said.
