Police believe a three-car crash on North John Wayne Parkway last night was caused by a driver running a red light, according to city spokesperson Quinn Konold.
Maricopa police and fire crews responded to the crash on John Wayne Parkway at West Honeycutt Road at 8:58 p.m.
A white sedan was removed from the scene while two other cars remained disabled in the roadway. A Honda SUV sustained heavy front-end damage, and a Toyota sedan was damaged on the front driver’s side.
Desert Passage resident Abigail Dimas told InMaricopa that a family member was driving the Honda and that the Toyota’s driver ran the red light. Dima said her relative “was transported to Chandler Regional and suffered a concussion.”
The crash blocked the right-turn lane from Honeycutt onto John Wayne Parkway and two northbound lanes.
