It’s never too early to plan travel alternatives for next week.
State Route 347 will have brief lane restrictions on Wednesday. Crews with the Arizona Department of Transportation will close a 1-mile stretch of the southbound right lane at the Riggs Road intersection from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Jan. 14 restrictions will start about a mile north and continue “a little after the intersection,” said ADOT spokesperson Steve Elliott.
The closure is for pavement maintenance and is part of ongoing road rehabilitation efforts as the department prepares for widening and intersection improvements scheduled to begin this summer.
