Here’s your weekly reminder that State Route 347 construction isn’t going anywhere just yet.
Drivers traveling SR 347 should expect lane restrictions tonight through next week as construction continues on the highway improvement and widening project.
Thursday, Aug. 27
- Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday, for surveying and materials testing.
- Southbound: One lane from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, for surveying and materials testing.
- Northbound at Santa Cruz Wash Bridge: One lane, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, for geotechnical work.
Friday, Aug. 28, through Monday, Aug. 31
- Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday, for paving.
- Southbound: One lane from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, for paving.
Sunday, Aug. 30
North- and southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane at the Mammoth Way intersection from 8 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday for geotechnical work. The restriction will continue nightly through Thursday, Sept. 3.
Next week
Monday, Aug. 31, through Wednesday, Sept. 2
- Northbound: One lane from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for materials testing.
- Southbound: One lane from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for materials testing.
Thursday, Sept. 3
Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Interstate 10 to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday for geotechnical work.
No planned construction work is scheduled Labor Day weekend.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down, follow posted speed limits, merge safely and allow extra travel time through work zones. The schedule is subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
