Maricopa Police Department is investigating a body found at a Tortosa community park this morning. 

Officers cordoned off the area near West Santa Barbara Avenue and North Los Gabrieles Way as part of the investigation. 

“Unfortunately, it appears an individual took their own life at the park sometime overnight,” said MPD spokesperson Monica Williams. “They were located by a resident early this morning.”
