CAVIT seeks new Maricopa board member after Alma Farrell passing

A vacancy has opened on the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology District Governing Board following the passing of board member Alma Farrell. The open seat represents the Maricopa Unified School District and will be filled by appointment. 

Pinal County School Superintendent Jill Broussard will appoint a qualified candidate to serve the remainder of the term, which ends Dec. 31, 2026.  

Eligible residents zoned for MUSD who wish to be considered are encouraged to apply. Applications can be accessed online at the Pinal County School Superintendent’s Office website, PinalCSO.org. 

Completed applications must be printed, signed, notarized and submitted in original form either by mail or in person to the Pinal County School Office no later than 5 p.m. April 15. 

Applications are also available for pickup at the Pinal County School Office at 75 N. Bailey St. in Florence. Interested individuals may request a form by contacting Nicole O’Brien, senior administrative assistant to the superintendent, at 520-866-6565 or via email at [email protected].
