Time to dust off your best cowboy hat and boots for a rootin’ tootin’ time next month.
Maricopa officials confirmed the final lineup for its inaugural country-themed Concerts in the Park series this fall, which features two new artists, according to a press release today.
Unlike the national acts that dominated last year’s Wild West Music Fest, each of the artists in the concert series have local roots.
“They are authentic Arizona talent, and they are ready to put on a great show for our community,” today’s statement read.
Phoenix-based Kruse Brothers headline the first concert Oct. 19 with their blend of country, Americana and folk-rock music, with special guest Jaty Edwards performing his upbeat twangy tunes.
Two weeks later, Texas-born and Arizona-bred Chauncey Jones will bring a soothing country voice to Copper Sky Nov. 2. That same night, father-son duo Dawson will cover classics from Merle Haggard and George Strait.
Curious what kind of sound to expect those nights? The event’s website includes a small playlist from each artist.
