Crops to rooftops: Satellite images show city’s growth

Just how much has Maricopa grown in recent decades? Satellite images tell the story well.

Imagery provided by Google Earth shows nothing but farmland and pecan groves in April 1997.

However, as you scroll through the years of satellite images below, you’ll notice how much the area has changed over time:
