Diamond Rio, the Grammy Award-winning country band with a string of No. 1 hits, will headline Wild West Music Fest on Saturday, March 28, as Maricopa’s three-day event returns.
Diamond Rio won a Grammy in 2011 for The Reason and has charted five No. 1 country singles, including Meet in the Middle (1991), How Your Love Makes Me Feel (1997), One More Day (2001), Beautiful Mess (2002) and I Believe (2002), according to Billboard Charts.
Early bird tickets went on sale today for the three-day festival. A $29.53 ticket gets kids 13+ and adults access to the festival all day, along with a concert ticket. Kids ages 5-12 are $18.85. Children 4 and under are free.
The annual festival returns to Copper Sky Regional Park for its third year. City promoters promise “three days of fun” with national and local entertainment, carnival rides, food and activities, with the full lineup still to be announced. Saturday’s festival opens at noon and runs until 11 p.m.
The headliner announcement comes as the festival builds momentum after posting a modest profit in its second year. Financial data provided by the city shows the event generated $466,000 in revenue against $463,000 in expenses, producing a $2,700 profit for the event producer. This came after the festival rebounded from a six-figure loss in its inaugural year. City officials also cited an estimated $2.84 million in economic impact tied to visitor spending during the 2025 festival.
More musical acts are expected to be announced shortly, say organizers.
